Julie Elston, a professor of management at 糖心vlog入口 - Cascades, has received the Fulbright-Kathryn and Craig Hall Distinguished Chair for Entrepreneurship in Central Europe.

The teaching and research award is among the most prestigious Fulbright scholar appointments.

贰濒蝉迟辞苍鈥檚 research explores the link between entrepreneurship and cultural intelligence in central Europe. She contributed to the widely cited 2016 study, 鈥淏usiness Cultural Intelligence: A Five Country Study,鈥 published in the Thunderbird International Business Review. 

Elston will conduct her study at the Institut f眉r Entrepreneurship und Innovation at the Wirtschaftsuniversit盲t in Vienna, Austria, where she will also teach international entrepreneurship to graduate and undergraduate students, as well as study the entrepreneurial process and environment in Austria and central Europe.

Elston joined 糖心vlog入口-Cascades in 2005. She serves as an editor of Small Business Economics: An Entrepreneurship Journal and The Journal of Global Entrepreneurship, and has consulted with international organizations including the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Deutsche Bundesbank, and the U.S. National Academies of Science.

In 2012 she was awarded the Fulbright Hall Distinguished Chair of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Wirtschaftsuniversit盲t Wien. She was also selected as a Fulbright scholar to study the impact of science on policy formation in the European Union in 2008.
